What is the highest of trees producing fruit / easiest to grow indoors (outdoors during the summer)?

I live in Kansas and I am a newbie to this kind of thing. Im thinking of something like a lemon, pomegranate, mandarin or something like that. Same exotic fruits strike my fancy. What are the easiest to maintain and more productive? Where can I find them? I can get a 6-foot grenadier close $ 80 is already in production … Is this a good deal? Where can I obtain dwarf trees? any info is greatly appreciated.

There dwarf banana, citrus fruits like lemons and limes dwarfs that can be grown indoors. In winter, a good southern exposure and / or extra lights will maintain healthy and productive.
